Designs by Human Created Trendy Apartment with Cloud Lamp ⇒ Born and raised in rural Idaho, he officially launched Designs By Human, Inc. in 2015 in New York City to bring his fun, playful use of pattern and neutrals into the design world. Joe grew up looking up to his father as a builder and creator of simple but sophisticated abstract art pieces which led him to learn to develop his own creativity. He would take that knowledge and love of creating things home as a child and extrapolate them with Lego’s and now in the real world. Joe Human is more notable by his attention to details and a mixture of interior design elements merging with architecture, which began the slogan #detailsmatter.
Joe Human, from Designs by Human, is the Interior Designer responsible for this stylish project that takes place in a historic bank building which turned into condos. The couple who ordered the project wanted a style that could combine “clean lines and a bit of Scandinavian influence and simplicity but with a more homey and cosy feel”.

In order to add up more details to space and the existent pieces, the designer opted to choose CIRCU’s Big Cloud Lamp and some other products from our sister brand DelightFFULL, to fulfil the space.
The project covered the living room, master bedroom and kids room. “The massive walnut millwork with brass detailing millwork in the living room was the main focus to clean up several of the lines in the home as there were lots of soffits and columns” The Design Team opted to incorporate subtle colours throughout and filled the walls with bold wallpapers.
Circu’s pieces were the “jewel in the space”. The Designer picked them specifically for their “shapes and uniqueness”. “The cloud light in the kids’ room is one of mine (and their) favourite pieces, our clients’ children love it and it has also become an integral learning tool for them growing up now as they can discover the colours as it changes!”- Joe Human
The Cloud Lamp
This cloud lamp is made in an innovative material, created by Circu, designed in several layers and fine coating with a fire retardant. Inside, it has a light and sound system are controlled by a mobile app (Ilight) or a remote with several options: choice of music, light effects, and sleep time. The cloud lamp has an RGB light and speakers. The sound system can be controlled by a mobile app that connects with the cloud lamp by Bluetooth. You can choose the music you want to play on your smartphone. The app has also a sleep assistant. The light system can be controlled by a mobile app or with remote control. You can choose the colour, the intensity of the light and lighting effects.
