Milan Design Week 2019 – What You Can’t-Miss at Brera Design District ⇒ Milan Design Week is coming closer and with it comes Fuorisalone. In light of that event, Brera Design District presents the tenth edition of its Design Week with a couple of events already planned. There are many novelties to see for this year’s edition of Milan Design Week in Brera, so we’re giving you six initiatives you definitely can’t miss if you travel to Milan during that period.

Planetarium
Planetarium is an interior project conceived and realized by Cristina Celestino for Besana Carpet Lab. This project is set to be presented in the Brera Design Apartment during Milan Design Week.
MateriAttiva
This initiative is set to be a multi-sensorial experience that will be curated by Iris Ceramica Group and the young architects of SOS School of Sustainability with the extra presence of with Mario Cucinella. Mario himself will be guiding visitors through a space that, according to the Fuorisalone page “evokes a new pact between man and nature”. An interesting initiative not to miss during Milan Design Week.
RoBTL
This consists of an installation of Timberland by the study Giò Forma. It will be including a robot created by pollution and waste acting as a spokesman for sustainable design. This event that will happen during Milan Design Week will be perfectly in line with the concept “Design Your Life”.
Moleskine’s celebration of the Moon Landing
This initiative is set to be a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. Moleskine will be participating in the Brera Design District by emphasizing the importance of undertaking trips to unexplored territories. They will be introducing a Backpack-Silver Edition designed by Giulio Lacchetti.
Pratofiorito Project
This project was made by Davide Fabio Colaci in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano. This will consist of a temporary garden that will be offering the city a meadow of flowers that aim to stimulate urban biodiversity following the evolution of Spring.
The return of SWISS KRONO GROUP
Lastly, we’ll be having the return of SWISS KRONO GROUP to Brera Design District with a widespread exhibition in the city. From what we know they are planning to show the story of a project on environmental sustainability based on the character Pinocchio.
