Milan Design Week – Kartell Celebrates its 70th Birthday ⇒ Kartell is about to celebrate its 70th anniversary and there are many surprises to come especially for Milan Design Week. The brand has a lot in store for the event so we’re digging a little deeper into what will await all people who will be in Milan to see these events.

The brand has stated that the event is a significant milestone for them, seen as they’ve been embracing a constantly evolving heritage from the past that continues to evolve and innovate in order to find new solutions for top quality products. In preparation for Milan Design Week Kartell will be preparing some very special surprises and new projects.

On the 9th of April, the day in which Salone del Mobile opens (and Milan Design Week starts as a whole), at 9:30 am the brand will reveal one of their new projects which will be alongside Philippe Starck. The presentation will be at Kartell’s booth and will last around 30 minutes.

Not to mention the fact that their store located on Via Turati will instead be set up with a new layout and open to visitors throughout the duration of the Salone. This is an interesting alternative to the traditional get-together on Tuesday evening every year in that same location during Milan Design Week.

For now no further details have been revealed, however, Kartell has promised that during Milan Design Week they’ll be having some more surprises up their sleeve. This brand so far has never missed an edition of this event, bringing in more than one surprise to every edition of Salone del Mobile. Kartell has managed to retain a long time legacy in furniture design having many names collaborate in the conception of many pieces, among them being Philippe Starck, Ron Arad, Antonio Citterio, Ferruccio Laviani, Piero Lissoni, Patricia Urquiola, Mario Bellini, Alberto Meda, and Vico Magistretti.
